Professional Live Skype Meeting to Pakistan

skype-icon-6We conducted an interview with one of our Clients from The United Nations of Pakistan. Due to the Distance of travel instead of having our Client fly here to Los Angeles, we went to Pakistan…Virtually, via Skype!

Web Video Vision has the capabilities to coordinate a Live Professional Virtual Meeting to our clients that may be in another state or in this case, across the world in Pakistan.

With the 12 hour time difference between Pakistan and Los Angeles we were able to work out a schedule that was suitable for both parties. Having our virtual meeting start at 5:30 am our time, 5:30 pm their time.

We made sure to make the process to produce a virtual meeting was easy for our client as we helped train their crew how to set up their internet connection, their HD Camera and we also shipped them additional equipment like a microphone so we could have the best quality possible for our interview. And in our end, we set up our stage in our green screen studio which gives us the abilities to add a virtual background of any kind in post-production, giving the video another element to our production value.

Our Interview ended up being a success. The Client gave us great feedback and was impressed about how we were able to assemble a professional live virtual meeting from Country to Country. With the help of Skype we were able to connect with someone from across the world and not only by voice but a live real-time video meeting to have a more personal connection with somebody.

Importance of an Animated Logo

Rowland USD_Logo-1AAdding animation to your logo can not only make you stand out but it’ll leave your viewers with a more memorable time watching your videos.

We have a prime example of that with our animated logo we created for Rowland Unified School District. As you watch our video below you will see a side by side comparison of Rowland’s static logo compared to their animated logo. Immediately, your eyes are glued to the animated logo as it’s engaging and with all the motion it holds your attention longer then a static logo would.

Animation can simply enhance your company’s image and boost sharing.  So those of you who are still using static logo openers, make sure you add animation to it to leave a long-lasting impact on your audience!

Rowland Unified School District – 1st Annual State of the Schools Breakfast

Rowland USD_Logo-1AThis Morning we attended Rowland Unified School District’s 1st Annual State of the Schools Breakfast.

Over the course of the presentation they addressed matters such as how technology over the past decade and beyond has slowly made its way into the classrooms with things such as Laptops, iPads and even 3D Printers! And also how The District is preparing students for life after High School with programs such as Project Lead the Way, where students are introduced to Science, Technology, Engineering and Math at an early age to allow them to grow with confidence and interest in these areas.

All of this followed by our movie we created for RUSD which covered all the significant impacts the District is having on not only the students and their learning but as well as the community. It was an awesome experience working with RUSD and to see our video displayed to everyone was very satisfying. We look forward to working with Rowland Unified School District in the Future.

Web Video Vision Rides Shotgun with Movie Legend, Burt Reynolds!

Web Video Vision rides shotgun with Movie Legend, Burt Reynolds!

We were hired to shoot a video for Burt Reynolds as he helps promote The Bandit Trans Am that was used for Universal Pictures to help promote the movie Smokey & The Bandit at Barrett Jackson Car Auction

Our day started off at Burt Reynolds house. As we first had Reynolds take some photos beside the Trans Am and also captured a couple driving shots of the Trans Am riding down the road with GoPros attached.

img_2821 img_0184_2

We then moved on inside Reynolds house to set up our equipment and developed the script for our professional teleprompter. After that it was Lights, Camera, Action for Mr. Reynolds! And as a true professional, Reynolds knocked out the video in a matter of minutes.

It was a pleasure meeting a Movie Icon and thank Mr. Reynolds for letting us into his wonderful home. He was also kind enough to sign a couple autographs of his book, which is in stores today!  Go check it out.

The Trans Am ended up selling at the Barrett Jackson auction for a record breaking $500,000!

6 Signs it’s time to hire a social media manager

While even a casual user of Facebook or Twitter can set up an account and post, what about designing a strategy that actually drives traffic and leads? What about managing the customer service aspect? What about maintaining a consistent voice across all channels and using social media to build your brand?

These are areas in which an experienced social media manager can excel. But how do you know if you need someone else to take the reins and guide your business to social media success?

Here are six signs it’s time to stop doing it yourself and start looking for a social media manager.

1. When you’re neglecting revenue-generating activities to manage your social media accounts.

This is perhaps the No. 1 reason business owners finally bite the bullet and hire a social media manager. After setting up and managing their own accounts for some time, they realize the time they’re spending is taking away from revenue-generating activities.

When you can clearly see you’re forfeiting money to manage your accounts, hiring someone becomes an easy decision. For instance, if you value your time at $100/hour, hiring someone for half of that, who is experienced and passionate about social media, is a logical choice.

2. When you don’t have the digital marketing knowledge.

There still seems to be this idea that if you know how to use social media, you must be good at social media management. And if a teen can do it, why can’t you?

Keep in mind that there’s more to the job than posting pictures or tweeting links to your blog. To succeed at social media marketing, a person should have a strong understanding of:

  • Analytics and reporting
  • Monitoring for brand mentions
  • Tools and software
  • Competitive analysis
  • Marketing and advertising (for paid campaigns)
  • Customer service

In addition, a social media manager should have strong writing skills and a keen understanding of how their tasks fit into the marketing strategy, not to mention how social media contributes to the goals of the business as a whole.

3. When you no longer enjoy it.

Authenticity and transparency in social media marketing is more important than ever. People want to know there are real, trustworthy people behind those accounts. If you think of social media as a necessary evil, this is bound to come through in your interactions.

When you find yourself feeling bored, annoyed or resentful at the prospect of interacting with your audience on social media, it’s time to step away and let someone else have a go. Find someone who has a real passion for it, and who can be an authentic advocate for your brand.

4. When you’re too busy to manage and monitor it consistently.

You may find yourself overwhelmed by the sheer number of tasks and responsibilities on your plate. In this case, it can be more difficult to accept that adding someone else to the payroll is a wise move. But consistency in social media marketing is extremely important.

5. When you’re not able to keep up with trends.

Social media is constantly in flux. New platforms, tools and strategies emerge constantly, and it can be difficult for even social media specialists to keep up.

For instance, do you stay on top of industry reports and research? Do you attend social media conferences and workshops? Do you network with other professionals in the field? Probably not.

This is where social media pros shine. They know what’s changing and what your business should do to keep up.

6. If you don’t know what social media strategy is.

If this phrase “social media strategy” is unfamiliar to you, or you just don’t think a strategy is necessary, it’s time to hire a pro.

I like Jay Baer’s take on it: “Social media has too much opportunity (and too many pits of real-time quicksand) to just blindly jump into the deep end of the pool … You need to know how and why you’re getting involved with social media so that you can rightsize your resources, relationships, and expectations.”

An experienced social media manager will understand the importance of strategy and know how to create one that contributes to your bottom line. They’ll understand the ins and outs of marketing funnels, how to choose the right platforms and how to use social media in a way that aligns with your overall business goals. A social media manager can ensure you’re using social media intentionally, in a way that protects and builds your brand. Keep in mind that a half-baked strategy can be just as bad as no strategy at all.

Autobahn Adventures – Red Carpet Movie Premiere 2013

On May 18, Autobahn Adventures held a special invite only event premiering their Autobahn Adventures Movie created by us at Web Video Vision.  There was a great deal of work creating everything that made the Movie Premiere possible.  If you were one of the unlucky ones that was not invited to the premiere the movie can still be viewed below:

Those who were able to go were able to watch the movie with the owners Mark and Tina.  They also received a promotional DVD that they can experience the Autobahn Adventure over again.  It served as a great marketing tool for their business.  It has all the information they need on the disc, packaging and the video itself.  Here are some images of the promotional DVD:

Autobahn Adventures – Video Production and DVD Packaging

Autobahn Adventures is not just about the high performance sports cars, the exquisite hotels and spas, the luxurious comfort, or the breathtaking European cities and countryside. It is so much more than a Luxury European Driving Tour. Autobahn Adventures is about the experience; a life-changing, rejuvenating, journey where you connect with like minded travel and auto enthusiasts. Whether racing down the high speed Autobahn, driving the alpine mountain passes or visiting expansive castles rich with decadence and history – you are living your dream.

To help their clients experience a piece of their Autobahn Adventure we created a video series, DVD Authoring, and DVD Packaging.

Video Production

Each episode was divided into 6 different sections.  Each section containing a different experience titling by The Cars, The Roads, The Hotels, The Dining, The Attractions, and The Guests.  A movie was also created, which contained all experience in one, and a trailer, which was a teaser of the movie.  Here is sample of the trailer below:

Many of the challenges of this part of the project was the editing.  Creating the same feel as the guest felt on the Autobahn Adventure was hard to capture.  But having first hand experience and talented Editors brought these “Experiences” to life.

To view the rest of the Autobahn Adventure videos can be viewed Here.

DVD Authoring

The DVD Authoring design was inspired by the DVD Packaging, Website, and the Video Production.  The biggest challenge on this section of the project was creating the perfect title menu.  At first we used the same design as the trailer video seen from above.  But it did not fit the overall feel of the Autobahn Adventure and felt a bit cheesy.  We then used the DVD Packaging design as seen in the section below but it started to look cluttered.

Keeping in mind that less is more, we removed majority of the design and kept it simple.  We had a menu with just Play button and a Chapter Selection which took the lower 20% of the screen.  The rest of the menu displayed the shortened edited version of the trailer using the same music.  It was then the experience was brought to life.

DVD Packaging

There were many iterations of DVD packaging during the process.  It was not the last step of the project but a continuous step which lasted from the middle of the Video Production to the end of the DVD Authoring.

In each iteration more and more items were needed to be put on the packaging.  It started with a simple DVD sleeve and ended with a Eco Friendly 6 page cardboard DVD container.  Once the final images were finalized we ended up with this:

Creating a Effective Social Media Calendar

If you’re serious about using social media for marketing, branding or anything to do with promoting your business, you should use a social media editorial calendar. But how do you decide when to publish, what to publish and how often to publish to get the best ROI? If you understand when to engage with your audience and how to combine traditional marketing with social media, you’re two steps ahead of most businesses. But these four tips by Anton Koekemoer of memeburn, including aligning your objectives and knowing when to engage your audience, will boost your efforts even more.

One of the fastest ways to build a successful business is to systemize it. That means taking the things you do on a regular basis and creating a system that allows you to do that thing, or things, efficiently and easily. It may be a pain at first to sit down and create an editorial calendar so you know what to blog about, and when to post and how to use your social media to drive traffic to your website, but it’s so worth it. You’re better off spending a couple hours or even a few days setting up an editorial calendar than racing around like a chicken with its head cut off at the last minute. Don’t be scrambling for content that has no relevance and that’s not driving your brand or engaging your customers just to throw something up on your site. Plan it.

Don’t have time to engage in Social Media?  Let Web Video Vision Help!  Web Video Vision has talented marketers that will create a engaging Social Media to boost your business.
