Powerturbine specializes in the repair and sales of turbine engine parts. Their customers include some of the biggest names in aviation. As their website started to show its age, and didn’t represent their company as it should, they began their search for a web design company to update and add to their website. They found Web Video Vision in a listing of the leading Web Designers in Forbes magazine.

Powerturbine came to Web Video Vision looking for a dark themed website with some unique and custom requests. For the design, Web Video Vision created a website that included a light and visually appealing flash header with an airplane soaring through the clouds. This juxtaposed to a dark background, appealed to Powerturbine’s employees and general feel of the company.

One of the reasons Powerturbine chose Web Video Vision was because of their unique ability to integrate video within a website. Powerturbine wanted to include a video of their CEO synchronized with a PowerPoint presentation. All filming was done onsite at Web Video Vision’s green screen studio. Web Video Vision also updated the accompanying PowerPoint presentation to match the branding of their new website. The result is amazing, a sales tool online anytime!

Powerturbine needed a high level of security for their big name clients to track progress. So a client login was created for their clients to be able to login and access monthly reports. The website itself was designed around a content management system, so Powerturbine can make and edit the reports for their clients!

The project was completed in two months, a quick turnaround for a site with such scope. We kept the project on track by consistently listening to their needs, creating and meeting deadlines for each task and all the while making sure that Powerturbine’s expectations were met!

Twitter is still fairly new in the social networking world and there are many things you should consider before setting up an account. First things first, come up with a plan! Many companies start using Twitter not knowing what to do. You should figure out a target audience that you want to engage with. Then plan out what your tweets will be to attract that audience to your twitter page.

Once you come up with a plan, your twitter “do’s” start with listening. This isn’t a one way conversation. It is social media for a reason. Make your tweets two-way. Listen and interact with the potential clients, buyers, etc. It is important to state that you do not sell, sell, sell. Sure every once in a while you can slip in links to other social networking sites, websites, or information on your company but try not to make this a habit. The key is to try to get to know the audience by tweeting with them.

Do Tweet as a person, do NOT tweet as a robot or THE company itself. Twitter does not work that way and you will find yourself conversing alone. You may say well, where are the results? Social media takes time, so make sure you stay with it! Need more advice? Tweet us @WebVideoVision or give us a call at 714-560-0017.

Web Video Vision now offers a solution for recording out of area, low budget or non high-definition interviews. This service is available for those who are looking to get an internet quality, reality style recording with a lower budget.

Our normal interviews are shot with multiple high definition cameras. However, many times, the travel expense or the need for that high of quality isn’t in the budget. We have outfitted an Apple MacBook with all of the software and hardware needed to do remote recordings on a budget. All you need is a high speed internet connection. We send the computer with everything pre-installed. Simply open the box, turn it on, and we do the rest. You don’t even need to plug it in!

The quality of video recorded over the internet is not High Definition. More “reality style”. But, talk shows and celebrities like the Oprah Show are using this same technology when it fits the message.

Recently, we were asked by a client to conduct an interview with a person in Minnesota. Instead of the bulk and time of traveling, or the uncertainty of hiring an outside production team, we sent him the we sent him the Web Video Vision WebCam, and with just his normal home high speed internet, we were able to conduct and edit the interview as a podcast for the client’s social media sites. No travel, No fuss.
