DME Expansion Joints – Website redesign, SEO and social media marketing

DME came to us with a two main opportunities:

Their current website was not ranking well in the search engines. Because of this, they feared they would start loosing business to competitors
Their site was beginning to look dated, and didn’t represent their company.

Web Video Vision was tasked with redesigning the website, creating and implementing a search engine optimization strategy and creating and maintaining a social media presence.

With strategy beginning in August of 2010 and development wrapped up a few months later, DME is off to a great start. In just the first month, their traffic to their website increased by 39%, and every keyword they wanted to rank for increased its position.

Prior to working with us, DME did not have any social media presence. We created, branded and publicized a blog, youtube page, twitter page and a facebook page. Within days, customers were finding the DME page and posting their positive comments about DME, its employees and their products. Web Video Vision has helped maintain the pages and is currently facilitating an iPad2 contest to help encourage DME’s many customers, partners and vendors to become a part of their social media sites.

As part of the overall strategy set forth by Web Video Vision, DME partnered with third party review site Customer Lobby to help facilitate customer comments about their business. In just weeks, DME garnered nearly a dozen, five star ratings from their clients.

DME is extremely satisfied with their newly designed website with its easy navigation, glowing client reviews and its search rankings increasing each month.

The next phase of the project will be to add an ecommerce section to the website and begin selling products.

DannySoong.com Website Launch

Danny Soong After We are proud today to launch the updated DannySoong.com website. Danny wanted to add to his already video rich website, a testimonial module. He wanted the user to be able to click on a picture of one of his clients, and to be able to hear their story, in their own words.

Danny’s time-frame to have the project completed was short, just over 2 weeks. and Web Video Vision delivered on time.

The project was done in two stages: A video production, and a web production.

The video project included interviewing 5 different clients of Danny Soong, shooting against a green screen, keying them out of the green screen and editing their answers down from about 15 minutes, to 2 minutes. We also took full length photos of each client in order to “place” them on the testimonial page. We also shot an introduction segment for each interview. This was done on our studio greenscreen, while the client interviews were done on our mobile greenscreen.

The web project included taking the interviews and converting them to a suitable format to be streamed online. We also took all of the introduction segments, and converted them so the would “float” on the webpage. With a lot of actionscript in Adobe Flash, we coded the images to fade in and out, and to launch videos.

Danny Soong Retains Web Video Vision to Update His Website

danny_soong_before Danny Soong Retains Web Video Vision to Update His Website that we built for him in 2008.

After finding success with his site, Danny wanted to add even more features.

The site is a completely flash site, with an introduction video at the beginning, and 2 other video interviews in the “About Danny” section as well as the “Testimonials” section. Danny understands the power of video, and wants to add 5 more interviews into his testimonials section. Danny wanted each video to have a Virtual Host that introduced the specifics of the case.

Danny has a tight deadline, but Web Video Vision is up for the task!

Amsterdam Day 3

Day 3:

At the convention Center in Amsterdam We woke up early, and headed down to have breakfast in the Hotel. The head chef was actually from Southern California, and had been living in Amsterdam for nearly 20 years. He made us pancakes and french toast. It was a great start to the day!

The two interviews later in the morning went very well. One was with the CEO and the other interview was with the West Coast Regional Manager. Both were very professional and very easy to work with.

Now that all of the interviews were done, we had a little B-Roll to shoot.

In the afternoon, we took a camera to the convention center and shot B-Roll. It happened to be raining, but with an umbrella we had brought along we didn’t have any problems. We shot a video blog which we’ll upload here later, but it goes into more detail about the room and what obstacles we had to overcome in order to film these interviews.

With all of the filming done, we were able to pack all of the equipment up in less than 2 hours. Packing the tapes separately from the hard drives (which contain a copy of all the footage) ensured that no video would be lost or damaged.

Amsterdam Day 2

Julian Interviewing Day 2 Day 2:

After getting approvals on all angles, we are ready to shoot!

We have 8 Interviews to film today.

After approving the angles and set decoration yesterday, today our client is watching and listening to the interviews taking place via a streaming video feed. Each of the 7 interviews go just as planned, and all are on time!

Our client video / audio feed proved to be invaluable in more than one occasion. The client was able to add extra follow up questions, and gave us notes on what she like / disliked about the interview. This will make editing the interviews much easier as we already know what messages she like from each of the interviews.

With 7 interviews done, and the sun setting, it’s time to get ready for 3 more interviews tomorrow. We will also be shooting B Roll at the convention center nearby.
